Neurology & Sleep Specialists, a member of TMSS, was founded in 2003 by Dr. Joshua Rotenberg M.D. with the vision of creating a specialty practice that treats every patient with academic level care in a human and accessible environment.

About Joshua Rotenberg MD Dr. Joshua Rotenberg earned his MD and concurrent Master's in Medical Science at Brown University, graduating in 1995. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital, a new York Univeristy affiliate in 1996.
He was called to active duty in the United States Air Force in 1996 to serve as an aerospace research physician and general medical officer. Dr. Rotenberg then completed a pediatrics residency at Wright Paterson AFB/Children's medical Center in Dayton Ohio in 2000. He trained in neurology/child neurology at the National Capital Consortium completing adult neurology training at Walter Reed AMC, the National Naval Medical Center and the NIH. In addition to the sites above, pediatric training took place at the Children's national medical center, Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins Medical Center. ![]() |

Dr. Rotenberg then served as the Chief of Pediatric Neurology at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center with dual faculty appointments in neurology and pediatrics at the UTHSCSA and USUHS. He served in the internal medicine department of sleep medicine. In 2006 Dr. Rotenberg was honorably discharged. He started his San Antonio practice in 2006, remaining on teaching faculty. Dr. Rotenberg has an interest in early diagnosis and treatment of at-risk babies. He was instrumental in starting protocols for brain-saving treatments for neonates. He transitioned his practice to Texas medical & Sleep Specialists in 2009 and opened an office in Houston in 2009.
